I believe this. Minimalism doesn’t feel like ‘lacking’ to me at all. It feels like a more deliberate, efficient, calm life. One that isn’t full of greed and excess. I want to use what I need and no more. I want wide open spaces and freedom. Finding the perfect amount of something can be hard sometimes, especially when I am so used to excess and splurges. But, I’m getting better one day at a time.

It’s so calming to have less things and blank spaces. It always feels like a fresh start.

I sure is. Too many choices and too much excess is like weight on my shoulders!

It gets to be comfortable with less. I’m too the point that excess bothers me and yes blank spaces are heaven.

That’s so great! Excess is bothering me as well. I feel so claustrophobic!

This sounds similar to Essentialism. One recent book (I haven’t read) about this is by Greg McKeown. Subtitle, the disciplined pursuit of less. If you’d rather not read the whole book, I think it is essentially about focusing on only the stuff that matters; eliminate or minimize the rest. Here’s the link: http://gregmckeown.com/essentialism-the-disciplined-pursuit-of-less/

Wow, Jason! That sounds just like something I feel deep in my soul: Essentialism! The quote from the site
“The Way of the Essentialist involves doing less, but better, so you can make the highest possible contribution.”
Is a true focus of mine. Thanks for sharing the link – I will have to read that!
